jim goodin Listening to this again after no in a while. The piece layered almost infinitely is richly lovely with it's simplicity of melody going into overdrive. The live orchestral performance of it pulled off by Evan and Brendan is full of unpredictability and excitement and just splendid! Favorite track: Every Recording of Gymnopédie 1 (For 80 Piece Orchestra).

Sonido Polifonico #SP 010

"Both of the arrangements are beautiful, taking Satie's basic theme in sweet and and cloudily focused directions, and sounding great all the while. As with most of this label's productions, the packaging is as lovely and complex as the music." -The Wire

"Two things to say about this 'un – firstly exceptional and secondly, unquestionably immaculate." -The Sunday Experience
